What You Will Do
  • Perform code review sessions with other developers and suggest improvements or alternate strategies when appropriate
  • Document technical designs as required (i.e. flow charts, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, data flow diagrams, wireframes, etc.)
  • Assist project managers and directors with the creation of task-level project plans that detail the specific tasks required to deliver a solution
  • Build high quality .NET product technology as respects project deadline, priorities, and budget
  • Mentor and coach less experienced developers and off shore development with hands-on development
  • Quickly respond to productions issues as notified and until resolution is identified
  • Communicate effectively to appropriate parties (i.e. root cause analysis, fix, client communication, and status update) Analyze, design and recommend reusable, packaged, or internally built solutions
  • Identify and recommend third party tools for project solutions
  • Assist project managers and directors with the creation of task-level project plans that detail the specific tasks required to deliver a solution
  • Implement code development best practices
  • Utilize distributed object-oriented technologies and object-oriented design patterns
  • Lead and actively participate in team meetings and sales-related meetings with clients and potential clients
What Gets You the Job?
  • 8-10+ years’ hands-on experience in software design and development, database design and development, and system integration
  • Ability to gather requirements across all phases and translate to strategy planning design deliverable
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the following:
    • .NET development, ASP.Net development, C#, XML, SOAP, Web Services, SQL Server, Windows 2000/2003 server, Active Directory integration (centralized user authentication /authorization)
    • Object Oriented Programming/Object Oriented Design (OOP/OOD) – distributed technologies and design patterns
    • Software development using a formal and structured development methodology
    • Prior collaborative experience in a team environment
  • Formal testing/software quality assurance experience, including hierarchical test cycle (unit test/application test/system test/user-acceptance test)
  • Iterative approach to development, using short development cycles and frequent builds
  • Ability to accurately estimate software development tasks given a set of requirements and assumptions; ability to work with Project Managers to develop task-level project plans and proposals
  • Hands-on experience in E-Commerce software development is a plus
  • MCPD a plus
