Job Description

Job Title: Risk Management Analyst
Our client is looking to hire a Risk Management Analyst to support the development of effective risk management and mitigation strategies across their enterprise. You will also assist in major implementation of their insurance process. A household name in the retail and luxury shopping industry, this company strives to connect consumers to unique experiences in major cities around the world through fashion, entertainment and technology.

As Risk Management Analyst:

  • You will proactively identify opportunities for improved process and risk control via thorough analysis of the enterprise risk portfolio
  • You will lead and coordinate risk lifecycle activities including risk assessment, identification, and analysis
  • You will gather, aggregate and translate information from multiple internal and external sources
  • You will identify trends, interdependencies, impacts, gaps, and other relationships that impact the business

Additionally, you will:

  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation and management activities
  • Work closely with multiple teams, departments, and leadership heads in developing risk mitigation plans consistent with the ERM framework
  • Effectively communicate prioritized risks to senior management
  • Prepare quarterly enterprise risk reports and an annual ERM report for the management board
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with business leaders and teams to develop risk treatment plans for prioritized risks
  • Drive implementation of risk framework, including ensuring consistency and adoption across dispersed geographic areas, business units and functional departments
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of a post-merger integration group insurance strategy
  • Assist in managing a local insurance program in partnership with international directors
  • Gather insurance renewal underwriting data, review insurance and indemnification provisions, and negotiate these in support the business
  • Review KPIs for claims, analyzing high-level trends and the impact to the insurance program
  • Manage standalone U.S. insurance programs (i.e. workers comp, construction project insurance, etc.)
  • Maintain a comprehensive reporting practice on insurance program(s)
  • Compile U.S. insurance renewal information and exposure data
  • Perform claims loss trend analysis

What Gets You the Job?

  • 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience with assisting business departments in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring risks across all business functions
  • Track record of developing and overseeing a program maturity roadmap
  • Proven ability to create maturity plans specific to developing risk appetite, evolution of risk metrics, and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with risk appetite and indicators that monitor risks
  • Knowledge of insurance best practices in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with insurance and indemnification provisions within contracts
  • Experience working with globally-dispersed teams
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment
  • Familiarity with project management (including tools and methodologies) is beneficial
  • Exemplary relationship-building and management skills
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels
  • Solid technical and data analysis skills
  • Creative approach to problem-solving

Compensation: $100,000/Year
