Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager II
Our client, a non-profit located in Rancho Cucamonga, is looking for a Project Manager II with excellent collaboration skills to manage medium- to large-sized projects, from inception to delivery. Here, you will build and maintain key relationships and delegate work across teams to ensure project delivery that is cost-efficient, timely, and successful.

Located near major freeways, shopping, dining and entertainment, this company was recently named "Favorite Overall Company to Work For" and "Favorite Workplace Culture" in a new survey. As Project Manager II:

  • You’ll establish relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders and team members, and will communicate managed expectations
  • You’ll define project scope, goals, deliverables and timeline, adhering to budgets and established ePMO and business standards
  • You will also assign duties as needed among the project team to for effective teamwork, collaboration, and use of resources

Additionally, you will:

  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Ensure effective business requirements documentation and project plan initiation to meet objectives and delivery
  • Confirm that technical and functional solutions are developed, tested,  and verified against agreed project scope
  • Manage project risks and issues and changes to scope, escalating issues as necessary
  • Develop RFPs  for new projects and/or technical services
  • Manage vendors and contractors on their respective assignments
  • Perform duties in support of IT and business departments as needs arise
  • Adhere to established standards and practices leveraged within the ePMO, IT, and the business

What Gets You the Job?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or similar course of study
  • 2 years’ relevant experience may be considered for a year of college
  • 6+ years’ project management experience
  • Familiar with the SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Proficient with project management software such as MS Project, Visio, Office
  • Prior experience working in a dynamic, timeline-driven team environment
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and standard processes inclusive of process development and implementation (technical and functional)
  • Proven project documentation experience inclusive of project charters, requirements documentation, design documents, issue and defect logs, status reports, test plans, scripts, and meeting notes
  • Strong familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project and Workfront
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Visio and MS Office Suite
  • Stellar communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills
  • 2 years’ healthcare experience is beneficial
  • PMP certification is s plus but not required
