Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Our client, a leader in investment and banking services, is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to provide analytical and project support to help determine optimal business system application solutions. Here, you will work closely with various contributors and teams including Internal User Experience, Development and QA to ensure that goals and objectives are met within specific timeframes. With nearly 100 offices in over 6 major metropolitan areas in the U.S., our client is a trusted and reliable name in the industry for over 60 years and counting.

As our Business Systems Analyst, you will:

  • Gather, document, and translate user requirements into functional specifications (e.g. scoping documents, mock-ups, functional and technical requirements/specifications and technical specifications
  • Perform data mapping and interface mapping to databases and multiple internal and external applications
  • Elicit requirements from on-site and remote business users
  • Perform interviews to various-sized groups
  • Access and interpret data to produce analytical models for management
  • Evaluate effectiveness of business systems, recommend improvements, and develop solutions based on best practices
  • Develop clear and concise documentation to keep business partners informed of scope and status
  • Identify and document business and data transformation rules
  • Create workflow diagrams and use cases
  • Analyze current processes and business rules and recommend changes as needed

What Gets You the Job?

  • Experience performing systems analysis for financial organizations
  • Experience collecting requirements via multiple approaches (e.g. one-on-one, group, JAD sessions)
  • Familiarity with collecting and defining security requirements
  • Experience creating functional specifications for web applications
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries and understand tables, field characteristics, and stored procedures
  • Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and field to field mapping
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
