What You Will Do

  • Monitor, support, and maintain the security and health of all information systems
  • Evaluate and modify system’s performance, identify user and system needs and requirements
  • Analyze, isolate, and troubleshoot network issues per common networking protocols (IPv4, IPv6) – fix and escalate as needed
  • Develop, monitor and maintain batch scripts to automate key processes
  • Monitor and maintain VMWare network and system security and efficiency (i.e. patching and upgrading ESXi hosts)
  • Maintain integrity of network and server/workstation deployments
  • Maintain and administer servers, drivers, desktop computers and settings, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software development, security updates and patches
  • Maintain network services including name and directory services, file and print services, distributed applications, email, HTTP, DNS (and possibly WINS), DHCP, SFTP, IMAP, HTTP, etc.
  • Maintain file servers, directory servers, database servers’ intrusion detection systems
  • Complete automated file transfers including FIS/Fundtech Meta file, Patriot Officer Bridger file and Patriot Officer/FIS data, and Teller Insight Export etc.
  • Manage Cisco switches (port security)
  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
  • Ensure efficient network connectivity throughout LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Perform network address assignment, capacity planning and needs analysis
  • Evaluate equipment and maintain/manage software licenses
  • Serve on IT Steering Committee and attend quarterly meetings
  • Daily review of data backup logs and network device configuration change reports
  • Weekly review of reports including internal vulnerability, software inventory, and Symantec status
  • Quarterly server restoration testing and changes to critical account passwords
  • Document procedures for critical tasks
  • Some after-hours duties including patching and network maintenance

What Gets You the Job?

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience
  • Windows, VMWare VSphere Management tools, PowerShell scripts
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery standards
  • Common networking knowledge
  • Knowledge of VLAN segmentation and network infrastructure
  • Banking industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to operate computer terminal and PCs, host computer system, word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply business and technical documentation/procedures
  • Demonstrated mathematical ability (i.e. calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; locate routine errors; draft and interpret bar graphs, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) across departments and with all users
  • Ability to adapt and maintain productivity levels in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management ability
